Mrs. Zesel B. Chashin

March 24, 1936 - January 20, 2022

Zesel B. "Zee" (Elfant) Chashin, Boca Raton, FL, formerly of New Brunswick and Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her beloved husband A. Bruce Chashin, her loving parents Morris and Anne (Kerr) Elfant and her dear sister Marcia Bronfman. Zee was the devoted mother to Ellen (Jeffrey) Marcus and Mindy Ashe, loving grandmother to Jordan (Amanda), Ashley, Bailey and Logan, dear sister to Mark Elfant and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. A talented pianist, Zee passed on an opportunity to attend Julliard School of Music, and instead chose to pursue a degree in education at Trenton College of New Jersey. Her degree in education then led her on the unusual career path to becoming a Probation Officer with Middlesex County. After moving to Florida, Zee spent her time traveling the world, buying and selling antique jewelry, and could always be found shopping at her favorite store Chico's. Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 11 am at Poile Zedek Cemetery, 245 Joyce Kilmer Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Arrangements are in care of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
