Sonia M. Rosario, 79, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, June 27, 2019. She was born and raised in Comao, Puerto Rico. Sonia completed her high school years in Puerto Rico before moving with her family to the Bronx. In 1989, she moved to Somerset, NJ and had lived there until her passing.
Sonia completed her teaching degree through the Bronx Community College and Middlesex Community College. For many years, Sonia taught Special Needs Children at PS 106 in the Bronx. Her last twelve years of teaching have been with Kingdom Kids in Somerset, NJ
Sonia was considered the "caretaker" of family and friends. A very energetic person who loved music and dancing and her real joy in her life was her family.
Sonia was predeceased by her parents Santos Torres and Pascuala Ortiz and her son Jason D. Molina, Sr. She will be sorely missed by her loving son Jose A. Rosario and his wife Sonja, her cherished grandsons Gregory Rosario and his wife Olivette and Jason D. Molina, Jr., her great grandchildren Geshe, Maritza, Madyson and MaKenzie and a great great grandson Kaiden A. Wise.
Visiting will take place on Friday, July 5th from 6-9 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick on Saturday, July 6th at 9:00 am. Interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
