Robert Peter Tietchen

Robert Peter Tietchen (aka) Bobby entered into eternal rest on December 6,2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Jersey City on August 9, 1941 to Frank Tietchen and Ann Marano Tietchen where he lived until the family moved to Edison when he was 13 years old. Bobby currently resided in Whiting N.J. After completing his education he worked at Wonder Bread, Hartwyck Nursing Home and the V. A. Hospital. He loved woodworking and belonged to several organizations, his favorite being the VFW. He is survived by his children, Bobby and Tina Tietchen, Robin Layman, and Frank Tietchen, and his longtime companion Ann Hackett, his grandchildren, Amber Tietchen and her husband Frank Adams, Sarah and Katie Tietchen, and Erica Layman and great grandchild, Isabella Adams. Also his brother Adam,(Buddy), sister Ann Marie and husband Walter Jarema, and sister-in-law Barbara Tietchen and 3 nieces and 3 nephews and his beloved cat, Oreo. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Frank.
Visitation and Blessing will be held at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude’s or the charity of your choice in his name would be appreciated.
