Mr. Raymond A. Hayton

December 31, 1948 - May 21, 2022

Raymond A. Hayton, 73, passed away at his home in Somerset on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He was born in West Germany, came to the United States as a young child of the age of seven. He lived in the Bronx, NY, Westwood, NJ before settling in Somerset in 1964. Raymond had lived in Somerset for 58 years . Raymond earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University at the Florham-Madison Campus, Madison, NJ. He proudly served his country by entering the United States Marine Corp in 1971 during the Vietnam Era and was discharged in 1977. He made his career with Berry Plastics Corp in Cranbury, NJ as a mold mechanic, retiring several years ago. A cat lover, especially his own, Raymond also enjoyed collecting stamps of all kinds in his spare time. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Ruth (Cremer) Hayton and his siblings, Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, of 35 years, Barbara (Anderer) Hayton, his loving children, Scott Shawiak, of Arizona, David Yanvary and Robyn Darrow. Funeral Services were held privately at Raymond's request.
