Nelson Rafael Estevez, 75, fought a quiet battle with mesothelioma for the pat year. He passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2019. He was born and raised in Manacla, Dominican Republic before coming to New York City in 1968. In 1972 he settled in New Brunswick for the rest of his life.
An easygoing kind of guy, he loved to eat and drink coffee. His grandchildren brought him a lot of special joy to his life. Nelson enjoyed being with his family.
He spent many years with Middlesex Container as a machine operator, retiring in 2001.
Nelson leaves his beloved wife Martina (Herrera), his loving children Nelson Alexander Estevez, Wilfredo Rafael Estevez and Martha Estevez, his cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Alexander, Allen and Alia Estevez and Ryan and Justin Diaz, his dear sisters Aldelaida Estevez and Ana Clemencia Rodrisguez. Nelson was predeceased by his parents Patricio and Gumericinda Estevez.
Vistation will be held at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
