Lucy M. Difede, 91, of Webster, TX, formerly of Edison, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Webster, TX.
Born in Franklin Twp., Lucy was raised in Highland Park and lived for many years in Edison before settling in Texas in 1994. She retired from Rutgers University where she served as an administrative assistant for 35 years. Lucy was a quiet yet joyful person who enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her family.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerald Difede, Sr. in 1971, and her four siblings, she is survived by her children, Richard Difede of St. Croix, USVI, Gerald Difede, Jr. and his wife Xan, of Kemah, TX and Anthony Difede and his wife Nancy, of New Bern, NC; her granddaughters, Lauren and Angela Difede, and; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM, Saturday, from Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, following visitation which will start at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
