Mr. Lofton Curtis Prim, Sr.

August 16, 1935 - March 21, 2022

Lofton Curtis Prim, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully at his daughter, Deidra's home in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on March 21, 2022. Born and raised in Evergreen, Alabama, lived in Ormand Beach, Florida, where he met and married, Patricia Hicks, his first wife. Later moving to New Brunswick, New Jersey, he met Marguerite Anderson and life continued on for many years in the area before settling in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. Having worked for Coco-Cola in the Newark area for several years, Lofton, purchased and operated the Camelot Lounge in New Brunswick. He became well known throughout the tri-state area. Lofton made many friends through the Camelot Lounge. As time went on he assisted many of his friends with a rides, taking trips to the market to do shopping and to doctors appointments. Lofton had his own little "Uber service", before it was known as Uber. Lofton had a true passion for Luxury Lincoln cars. Every year he would purchase a new Lincoln. He enjoyed many visits to Atlantic City, New Jersey and to Monmouth Park Racetrack in Freehold, New Jersey. Playing the New Jersey Lottery was his favorite, as well, especially his number 816 and 1935. Lofton played his numbers even on the day of his passing. That sure was dedication! Lofton held memberships with Sharon Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church in New Brunswick. Predeceased by his mother, Orieda Beasley and stepfather, Jack Prim, his daughter, Pamela Bright, his sons Terrence and George Anderson, his grandson Sterling Bell, Lofton leaves behind to carry on his long legacy, his loving children, Carmen B. and her husband Samuel L. Davis, of Ormand Beach, Florida, Irma D. and her husband Randy Bell, of Atlanta, Georgia, Lofton C. Prim, Jr., of Pennsylvania, Kevin Prim, of Tallahassee, Florida, and Deidra Anderson, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, his adopted children Selena Jackson and Michael Williams, his cherished grandchildren, Juan J. Scarlet, Andre M. Davis, Carla Brito, Samantha Langhorn, Randy Bell, Jr., Zachary Wallace (Robyn), Brandice Bell (Corey), Brenai Bell and Alexis Bell, Aniya Prim, Dasheera Anderson, Aaron Taylor, Terrence Oswald, Benjamin Anderson and Curtis Anderson, his great grandchildren, Juan J, Scarlet, Jr., Andre Davis Marcellus Davis, Luca Brito, Jayden Davis, Sierra Langhorn, Khalil, Tyree, Roman, Dylan Wallace, Mekhi Bell, Orion Milton, Amber Sky Lemon, Prince Kyson Lemon, King Cartier, Melania Anderson, his dear siblings Dorothy L. Jones, of New Brunswick, New Jersey, and Freddie Lee Boykin, of Birmingham, Alabama and his friend, Flora Little of New Brunswick, New Jersey, who would make sure Lofton played his numbers every day. Visitation at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 150 Throop Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10 am. Interment at the Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, New Jersey.
