Mr. Leslie Schmidt, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Budapest, Hungary and has lived in the New Brunswick and Somerset area for a long time.
He was employed as a printer/art director for Screen Trans Development Company for many years.
Leslie enjoyed photography and was an artist extraordinaire as a painter.
He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Stefania Schmidt, his wife Dorothy Jean (Torok) Schmidt, his brother Aurel, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews, Leslie is survived by his children, sons Leslie & Robert Schmidt and a daughter, Stephanie Schmidt, sisters-in-law Aniko Schmidt, Maryanne Kerekes and Enid Torok and brother-in-law John Torok, nephews Adrian Schmidt, John a& Thomas Kerekes, Chris & Christian Gloff, Peter Torok, nieces Mary Jane, Debbie, & Donna (Barney) and Amy (Torok).
Cremation was private. A Memorial Gathering and Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
