Kriss H. Fierro, 39, lost her courageous battle with cancer Thursday night, October 17, 2019 at home surrounded by her family and dear friends. She was born in Mexico City, Mexico, came to New Brunswick, NJ in 1996, finishing her schooling and making a new life for herself. For the past six years she has been living with her husband and daughter in East Brunswick, NJ.
Kriss was employed as the Operation Supervisor for Barnes & Noble Main Distribution Center in Monroe for 19 years.
She and her family were members of the Suydam Reformed Church in New Brunswick.
In her spare time, Kriss enjoyed organizing charity events for the less fortune, karaoke, dancing and skydiving. She volunteered her time at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick. Traveling to her beloved Mexico was always on the top of her list. She involved herself with her daughter's school, as a field trip mom and helping with the yearly "trunk or trick" for the children.
Very family orientated , she will be missed by her loving husband, Danilo Veras, her cherished daughter, Isabella Veras, her beloved parents Justiniano Fierro Gracida and Imelda Gutierrez Garcia, her caring brother Lenin Fierro, her mother-in-law, Altagracia Sierra, her father-in-law Danilo Veras, her sister-in-law Dania Veras and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1 - 5 pm. Funeral service will be private.
