Kathleen F. Downey, 69, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in New York City, moved at the age of three to Bergenfield, NJ Having lived i66 years in Bergenfield before moving six years ago to North Brunswick.
Kathleen was a graduate of the Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck, NJ where she earned an Associate's Degree. She was a registered nurse for many years for different hospitals. Kathleen decided to start her own business as a Nurse Biofeedback Therapist Consultant working for many doctors' offices in the area.
Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved all genres of music and had a big interest in her family history.
Predeceased by her parents Raymond and Margaret Downey and her sister, Mary D. Raichel, she will be missed by her sister Pegeen M. Downey-Alexander and her husband, Dale, of New Brunswick, NJ, her three nieces, one nephew, three great nieces, one great nephew and one on the way due in August.
Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 8 - 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ
