Mr. Juan A. Tebalan, 66, passed away on Thursday evening, May 14, 2020 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala, he has lived the last 25 years in New Brunswick, NJ.
Juan worked in the Housekeeping and Maintenance Department at the Hyatt Hotell on Albany Street, New Brunswick for many years. He also was the friendly Dominos Pizza Delivery man in his spare time.
He did work out in the community with people who were involved with drugs and alcohol. Juan care, help and advise these not so fortunate people until each one turned their lives around. He was the "good Samaritan".
Juan was an avid reader, an all round good man who was always happy. He loved being with his family and especially his granddaughters.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Olga Garcia, his daughter, Brenda Ruiz, his three granddaughters Loyida, Ruth and Dorcas, his sister Estela Ovalle, and all of his church friends.
Visitations, following the rules of the pandemic, ten people at a time in the building wearing gloves and masks, may visit on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral Service will begin around 11:30 am with Pastor Julio Rosa officiating. Private burial for the family will follow at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick, NJ.
