Mr. Jose M Reyes

Jose M. Reyes (Papa Joe), of New Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was 73. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to the late Neftali and Rosa Julia Reyes, he lived in New Brunswick for the last 45 years. Jose loved his job as a bus driver with First Student before leaving in 2020 to enjoy his retirement with his wife, Edna. Jose was the most joyful, loving, kind-hearted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and he will surely be missed by all those whose lives he has touched. Jose was predeceased by three brothers, one sister; and his youngest grandson Ismael who he lovingly nicknamed “Guerrero”. Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Edna Reyes; his children Pablo J. Reyes, Jose L. Reyes and Lisy Reyes-Rodriguez; his daughters-in-law Yanira Reyes and Monica Reyes; his son-in-law Nelson D. Rodriguez; his beloved grandchildren who were the lights of his life, Maya, Alyssa, Adryana, Layla, Ezequiel, Sylas, Kamila, and Sebastian; his two brothers and seven sisters; and many loving nieces and nephews whom he adored.
