Jose N. Gomez,79, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Pananao, Dominican Republic, he came to New Brunswick, NJ in 1980. Jose worked for 22 years with Rutgers University as a maintenance man retiring in 2007. After retiring, he dabbled in farming and agriculture. He was a hilarious person, but when it came to being a very serious time Jose was a very hard worker. and a busy man raising seven children. Jose enjoyed music, baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox. Predeceased by his parents Teofilo and Luz Edubina Gomez, his brothers, Jesus and Inginio Gomez, surviving are his loving children Lourdes, Radhames, Deysis, Nereyda, Evelyn, Johansel and Liam Gomez, his nine cherished grandchildren and one great grandchild, his dear brothers and sisters, Julian and Juan Gomez of the United States and Elena, Dolores, Felix and Valerio Gomez of the Dominican Republic. Visitation will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 6 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Parish of the Visitation-St. Mary's of Mount Virgin RC Church, the corner of Sandford Street & Remsen Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10 am. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, to follow.
