John J. Mako, 74, passed away peacefully at the Genesis at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Center in Somerset, NJ on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born in Woodbridge, NJ and grew up on Rutgers Street, New Brunswick for over 25 years. His las two years have been spent at Genesis at Willow Creek.
John worked as a Parts Delivery Man first for New Brunswick Auto Parts, then for Pesko Auto Parts, New Brunswick.
He loved to fish and go crabbing. John enjoyed building model ships and cars. John was an artist and great joke teller. He had the gift to gab.
Predeceased by his parents John and Irene (Predare) Mako, he is survived by his dear sisters Patricia Burda, Dorinda Sotelo, Barbara Jimenez and he was the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even several great great nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Cremation will be private at the Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
