Mr. John E. Cowan, Sr.

Mr. John E. Cowan, Sr., 84, of New Brunswick, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, moved to Greensboro before moving to New Brunswick, NJ sixty years ago.
John worked as a custodian for the New Brunswick School System for many years. Previously , he worked for years with Middlesex County Public Property in custodial work.
He enjoyed playing his lottery tickets summer league baseball and horseshoes.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Eldora Cowan and his son Raymond Cowan,
John leaves behind his wife, Annie Louise (Richardson), his children Evelyn Linton, Oral McFadden, Frances McFadden and John E. Cowan, Jr., his eight grandchildren , 19 great grandchildren, his brother Thurman Cowan, his sisters Sarah and Jeannette Cowan all of North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 9:30 - 10:30 am with Funeral Service beginning at 10:45 am. Cremation is private.
