Ira Glazer
November 11, 1957-August 18th, 2021

Ira Glazer passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 18th, 2021 from a long illness. He was 65 years old. Ira was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Herman Glazer and his mother Sandy Glazer.

Ira was most notably known for his athleticism and was extraordinarily gifted in extreme sports since his teenage years. He was a barefoot water skier and competed in performing high jumps off of ramps, while doing flips. He also instructed and managed waterski facilities.

He also had a love for snow skiing and competed on teams, displaying not only his fastness, but his extreme athleticism. Ira and his father were both N.A.L.I certified and scuba dived in the ocean

Ira had a love for music and played guitar in a band.

Ira had a special bond with his father. He was Ira’s biggest fan and supported him through all trials and tribulations. Ira’s mother, Sandy, supported her son and was always looking out for his best interest throughout his life.

When Ira could no longer care for himself, or live his life the way he wanted, his sister, Ronda, became his devoted advocate for years. She became his voice when he no longer could speak for himself to make sure his needs were met in the way Ira chose.

Ira chose to live his life on his terms and was a free spirit. He always did what he wanted, when he wanted. As his mother, Sandy, expressed, “Ira chose not to suffer anymore and wanted to be with his father in Heaven.”

Ira will always be remembered as a kind-hearted person, who will be forever missed and loved. May he rest in peace.
