Gertrude M Gerr of Highland Park, NJ passed away at her residence on August 25, 2018.
She was 102 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ she resided in Highland Park most of her life. She was the daughter of Harry and Rose Friedman.
Mrs. Gerr was a member of Hadassah, Deborah, The Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth and may other charitable organizations. She worked for the borough of Highland Park for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Lester Gerr in 1991, as well as her 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Surviving are her daughter Roberta Schwartzberg and her husband Sandy of Monroe Township, her son Harold and his wife Ruth-Ann of North Brunswick and her daughter Joanne of New York, NY. Grandchildren Erica Schifrin, Adam Schwartzberg, Rebecca Gerr,William Gerr, Zev Davis and five great grandchildren Liam Schifrin, Gregory Schifrin, Ella Schwartzberg, Anna Schwartzberg and Adin Lior Gerr Grauman.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 28th at the Highland Park Conservative Temple, 201 South Third Avenue, Highland Park, NJ. Interment to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stein Hospice, Somerset, NJ, Hadassah or the Highland Park Conservative Temple - Congregation Anshe Emeth.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
