George Schonwald, 74, formerly of Scotch Plains, NJ, passed away at his home in San Diego CA, on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Born in Newark, NJ, spent most of his formative years in Scotch Plains, before recently moving to San Diego.
George worked many years in the family business Schonwald & Sons, Inc, as a butcher. He later went to law school and became an Attorney practicing general law for 38 years
He enjoyed being with family and going to visit family in different places. He and his companion loved to travel. George loved going to the outdoor concerts in San Diego.
Predeceased by his parents Walter and Helen ( Hirshman) Schonewald, he is survived by his love of his life, Kathy Paz, his daughters, Arianna, Ana and Celeste, his granddaughter Naomi, his brother Gary Schonwald and his partner Rochelle Cohen and his sister, Susan and her husband Mark Green, and his nine nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 12:30 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick, NJ.
