Mr. Carmine K. Ancona, 94, passed away at the New Jersey Veterans Home at Menlo Park in Edison, NJ on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Carmine was born and raised in New York City, coming to Piscataway, NJ in 1965 until the present time.
Carmine served in the US Navy during the end of World War II and the Korean War as a Seaman First Class. After completion of his years in service, he returned to college earning a degree in Technical Illustrating and Draftsmanship.
He was employed as a draftsman with Mack Truck in Bridgewater, NJ for 25 years, retiring in 1992. Carmine was a member of the UAW Union.
He was a congregant for many years at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Carmine enjoyed frequenting several different Gun Clubs, where he was a member. He also belonged to the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 in Manville, NJ.
Carmine was a very loving and caring man to his family, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Carmine and Anna (Norris) Ancona, survived by his children Kathleen Graham, Kenneth Ancona and Karen Stanwick, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his brothers Richard and Joseph Ancona.
Visitation will take place at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, 208 Bound Brook Avenue, Piscataway, NJ on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:30 m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ.
