Carmen Delia Colon, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the JFK Hartwyck-Edison Estates on Brunswick Avenue, Edison, NJ. She was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico and has been living in New Brunswick for many years.
Carmen leaves to continue her legacy, her husband of 46 years, Mariano Colon, her loving daughters Yolanda Colon-Jimenez and her husband Miguel, Wanda Pinto and husband Eddie and Awilda Torres and her husband Daniel and stepdaughter Nancy Colon, and her cherished grandchildren Jacob, Jonathan, Alexandra, Jessica, Amanda, Cristian, Samantha, Edward, Anaya and Adrianna, Junior, Elaine and Jerome and her dear siblings:
Sisters: Elvira and Ramona; Brothers: Hiram, Santos, Francisco Luis, Mario, Angel Manuel, Juan Batista, and Reynaldo.
Will be greatly missed by much loving family, God-Children, and friends.:
Carmen Delia Colon was always thinking of everyone else first…her love for God with her daily prayers, morning prayer, night prayer and on the way out the house prayer, her every other word was thanking God…lived simply…dedicated hard worker…family & friend baby sitter…family & friend counselor…everyone’s mother…put her heart into her cooking (love them pasteles)…loved her gardening…loved to sew…loved to knit…love crossed words…loved Bingo…love to go to Atlantic City Casino, I’m sure she has a gold-chair there carved with her name on it…never missed any special occasions, was the life of party…loved to dance & laugh…love to simply be with her daughters and grandchildren. Will be greatly missed by everyone.


Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 7-9 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment is private.
