Benjamin F. Satterfield, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. A life-long resident of NJ, he was born in Orange and grew up in Maplewood before moving to the New Brunswick area many years ago.
Ben was a 1960 graduate of Maplewood High School. He attended Rutgers University. Ben had been employed as a Computer Operations Manager by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office for the past 21 years.
With a keen mind for computers, he took great joy in possessing the latest computer technology and gadgets. Ben enjoyed traveling, mostly in Europe. His favorite sports teams were the NY Giants, Manchester United Football Club and the USC Trojans Football Team..
Ben belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1990 and the Loyal Order of Moose since 1992. He was also a member of Amnesty International since 1988 and the ACLU.
Ben was predeceased by his parents Benjamin F., Sr. and Ernestine (Thiry) Satterfield, and survived by his daughter Michelle and her husband Mark Palus, his sister Anne and her husband Marc Bressman, his grandchildren Justin, Matthew and Heather, his nephew David and his grand-nephew Troy.
A Gathering of relatives and friends will take place at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Street, New Brunswick, NJ on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5 - 8 pm
