Ana M Hernandez

January 23, 1959 — December 31, 2020

Ana Mercedes Hernandez was born on January 23, 1959 in Santa Catarina Pinula, Guatemala. She resided in New Brunswick, New Jersey before her passing at the age of 61

She was extremely hard working, and spent her weekdays working as a custodian for Rutgers University, a job she was faithful to for more than 20 years. She also worked as a housekeeper on weekends. She lovingly dedicated her free time to family and friends, and always made sure to spend quality time with her loved ones.

She donated part of her earnings to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, and her family in Guatemala.

She leaves behind her husband Dionel Hernandez, her oldest son, Dionel Hernandez, youngest son, Jean-Carlos Hernandez and her sister Lidia Monterroso. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews to which she has served and loved as a second mother. She will be joining her sister Enma Avila, her Mother Maria Narcisa and father Jorge Lemus in heaven.

She was an exemplary wife, mother, aunt, and friend. The lives of those who knew her will never be the same without her.
