Susan M. (Levine) Mitnick, 73, passed away Monday morning, November 14, 2016 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Trenton, NJ and grew up in Woobridge, before moving in 1969 to Highland Park.




Susan was a graduate of Woodbridge High School in 1958. She attended Art Career School, where she put her talents to work. Susan worked as a floral designer for Plantscapes in Highland Park before her employment at Robert's Florals, also in Highland Park. She retired after 35 years in floral designing in 2012.




Susan was brilliant floral designer and a very creative person with plants, drawing and some fine arts painting.




She was a member of the Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth and their Sisterhood.




Predeceased by her parents David and Freda Levine, she is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard S. Mitnick, her loving children Eric Jonathan Mitnick and his wife Cara Ellen. Jodi Mitnick Toubes and her husband Guy, her cherished grandchildren Max Forest Toubes, John Lennon Toubes, Rachel Dove Mitnick and Eli Benjamin Mitnick, her dear sister Nona Ann Schwartz and a number of nieces and nephews she loved dearly.




Funeral services will take place today, (Tues., Nov. 15th) at the Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth, the corner of Benner Street and South Third Avenue, Highland Park, NJ at 11:00 am. Interment following at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Gill Lane, Iselin, (Woodbridge), NJ.




Arrangements are under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral chapel, New Brunswick, NJ.
