Mr. Nelson Vazquez

Nelson Vazquez, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 peacefully with his family by his side at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born and raised in Utuada, Puerto Rico, he came to New York in 1957.Later Nelson settled in New Brunswick where he resided for many years before moving to the Pincus Apartments in North Brunswick, NJ.
Nelson served in the United States Army in the Infantry during the Korean War.
His humorous personality was one of his greatest attributes. Nelson would sing and walk the neighborhood everyday.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be sadly missed by all. Nelson is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Ermelinda (Gonzalez) Vazquez, his loving children Nelson Vazquez and Madeline Vazquez and her husband Jose Barrios, his cherished grandchildren, Jason, Nayda, Nael, Aixa and Seonamara, his great grandchildren Jason, Jada, Christopher, Nathaniel, Sophie and Grace,and his dear brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico.
Visitation at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5-8pm. Cremation is private.
