Maria Judith (Martinez) Cancel, 58, passed away at Newark Beth Israel Hospital on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Maria has lived in the New Brunswick area for many years.
She had been a Nurse's Aide in her earlier years, now a stay home mom. Maria was the daughter of the late Tomas Martinez and Nemecia Gonzalez and the sister of the late Joseph Martinez and Aida L. Sanchez, she is survived by her daughters Maria L. Cancel Martinez and Anna M. Cancel, her grandson Joshua A. Nay, her brother Fino Martinez any many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 10 am-12 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ, funeral service will follow at 12 pm with interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
