Kathrine "Katy" Ferdinand, 20, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away at home on Friday, January 27, 2017. Katy spent her childhood years in the New Brunswick area of New Jersey, where she attended North Brunswick High School. She was a member of the school's percussion band. Katy was at her core, a creative individual who loved to draw, paint, sing and played various musical instruments, especially the piano. Her greatest gift and what those who knew her will remember most, was her unique ability to make people laugh when they needed it most.
Katy enjoyed swimming and spent many summers at the Jersey Shore with family and friends. She is survived by her father John Ferdinand, of Milltown, NJ, her mother Kelly Spino, of Wall, NJ, her paternal grandmother Iolanka Ferdinand, of Milltown, NJ, and her maternal grandfather Anthony Impellizeri, of Toms River, NJ. She also leaves behind her siblings, Daniel Ferdinand, of Maryland, Michael Ferdinand, of Idaho, and Jessica Ferdinand, of Pennsylvania, along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many close friends
A Memorial Service will be held at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Cremation was done privately in Florida.
