Mrs. Kathleen "Kathy" (Gramness) Caladie, 67, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 24, 2018 at the Somerset Woods Nursing and Rehab Center in Somerset.. She was born in Trenton, NJ, lived in Somerset most of her early life before moving to New Brunswick. Kathy worked her way through "Ma" Bell Telephone Company until it became Verizon as a Customer Service Representative. After 34 years she retired and worked from home as consultant for Verizon as well. She was a member of the Pioneer Club.
Kathy truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking care of and being in her grandchildren's lives.
An avid crossword puzzler, Kathy and her husband, John would do the Sunday New York Times Crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading and watching Jeopardy! Kathy and her husband also traveled to Aruba.
She was predeceased by her mother, Martha Gramness and is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, John, her loving daughters, Katie Harris, Toni Richardson and Christine Caladie, her cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Reese, Kayla, Ryan, Andrea and Robbie,her great grandchildren Roman and Isabella and her Aunt Catherine "Kitty" Gramness.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 29 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the
Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ Funeral Mass will be on Monday, April 30 at 10am at St. Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church,( Holy Family Parish), on the corner of Remsen and Sandford Streets, New Brunswick, NJ. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Somerville, NJ.
