Jeanne L. Weiss, 73, passed away on Monday morning, July 29, 2013 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, NJ. She was born and raised in New Brunswick, moved to Somerset many years ago and recently was residing in an assist living community.
Jeanne worked as a secretary for the Middlesex County Civil Defense Department in North Brunswick, retiring in 1983.
Jeanne loved spending time at home to be with her children and family. She was a very good cook, especially many of the Hungarian dishes.
Jeanne was a very spiritual person. She enjoyed reading books by Louise Hays, spiritual self-help books and listening to CDs. Her most favorite past time since the passing of her husband was shopping on QVC.
Predeceased by her parents Steve and Matilda (Magyar) Maruscsak and her husband Ernest A. Weiss in 1996, she is survived by her loving children, David E. Weiss, Ronald J. Weiss and Tamara Weiss Ahr, her five cherished grandchildren Pamela, Nicole, Kayla, David,Jr. and Aaron and her newest addition great grandson Braeden.
Cremation was private. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick on Thursday, August 1st from 6-8pm.
