Mr. Dennis Koye

Dennis Koye lived an extraordinary life before passing on February 23, 2017 with his loving wife, Nancy, at his side. He was 67 years old.

He was born in New Brunswick, NJ. After graduating from Highland Park High School, Dennis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. He remained in Texas before returning to New Jersey, where he and his wife created their home in Plainfield. A perpetual learner, Dennis earned his Masters Degree of Fine Arts in creative writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2016.

Dennis spent his entire career in advertising, and for the past 25 years he was a Partner and Executive Creative Director of Source Communications in Hackensack, NJ. He was a member of The One Club and The Art Director’s Club.

Dennis had strong values and faith in God, which guided his life every day. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Edison, NJ. Dennis was a renaissance man who had a wide variety of interests. He was an expert downhill skier, an accomplished pianist, a voracious reader, a world traveler, a passionate Houston Cougars fan, and was in the process of completing his first novel.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret (Hegyaljay) Koye and his brother William Koye. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Kantor) Koye; his son David Koye, his wife Emily, and their children Max and Tyler; his nephew Jason Koye, his wife Jennifer, and their children Harrison and Everett; and Nancy’s son David Borkon, his wife Lauren, and their children Alana and Molly; and his brother-in-law, Lee Kantor.


Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Temple Emanu-El, 100 James Street, Edison, NJ at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at B'nai Abraham Cemetery, Route 22 North, Union, NJ.

The family wishes to extend their love and appreciation to Dr. Stephen Schreibman and Dr. Gulam Manji and the team at Columbia University NY Presbyterian Hospital.
