Danelya R. "Mita" Hernandez, 89, passed away at the Brandywine at Princeton Senior Living Center on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. She was born in Leon, Nicaragua and moved to San Francisco, CA in 1959. In 1995, she moved to Kendall Park, NJ, where she lived until 2015. For the past two years, "Mita" as she is known to all, has been residing at the Brandywine at Princeton Senior Living Care Center.
Mita was employed the United Postal Service in San Francisco, California for many years before retiring in 1995.She was very active in her church, Community Church-Fixer of the Heart in North Brunswick, NJ.
Mita was an avid walker, who walked everywhere, especially to the store to play her lottery tickets.
Mita was predeceasedby her parents Raul Hernandez and Fornos Marielsa and her husband Reynaldo Cano in 1968. She was a wonderful family orientated lady and will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law Martin, Sr. and Laura, her grandchildren, Martin, Jr., Harmoni and Matthew, her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Milania, Niko and Mya, her sisters Melania Langrand Hernandez and Marina Balladares Hernandez and her brothers Guillermo Hernandez and Raul Hernandez Layton.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 9th from 6-9 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Saturday, June 10th at 10 am, with interment to follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
